- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I flew into Gainsville from Washington DC to purchase a vehicle from a customer of this Wells Fargo bank. After we had processed the paperwork for the transfer of the vehicle the seller went to deposit the check. The teller and the manager did not know what an official check was (a more secure form of a cashier's check) from USAA and scared the seller into thinking that the check was some kind of scam. I told them that it normal business practice to call the other bank in these situations and they said they could, but they claimed this wouldn't matter... They scared the seller so much that she wouldn't sell the truck to me. After the sale was not made I could not find an address on the outside of the building so I asked two bankers inside, they did not know the address of their own bank... It is pretty rediculous that the teller and the manager did not know what an official check was. I guess that's why I got rid of Wells Fargo years ago.By John Dickman, April 09, 2017
