  I love this pawn shop. The man (Richard) who runs it is an honest pawn broker. He has a giant sign in his store warning people to not try to sell him anything that is stolen. I have seen him give people back stuff that he has loaned money to them on and not charge them any interest. A lot of working people bring Richard their tools and stuff to borrow money against. He is the local banker for that part of town. I think he performs an important service for the poor people who live in Gainesville. I like his shop, have bought a lot of stuff from him over the years and have sold him some stuff too. He has always been super honest with me and I have a great deal of respect for Richard. I have lived in Gainesville for thirty years, own rental property and a house and have a respectable job with a large area employer. I take my eleven year old daughter into Richard's pawn shop and enjoy going in myself. He has sold me some stuff for very reasonable prices over the years. I have bought many tools, some swords, etc from Richard and once sold him an expensive watch that he paid me top dollar for. Richard is a good guy and he is very honest.

  I am a musician, and went into this pawn shop to buy a guitar for my son. I saw a beautiful guitar which Richard quoted me an excellent price & upon purchasing to my surprise he gave me an additional discount. His sense of value was very appropriate for this instrument. He was very courteous & took great pride in his business & value to the community.
